Yes. The core app is free forever and receives updates and new features at no cost.
Is my data really private?
Yes. Speech runs on-device, and your notes, recordings, and files stay on your Mac. Nothing is uploaded unless you explicitly choose a cloud model.
Does it work offline?

Do I need an account?
No. In local mode you’re always signed in — no sign-up required.
What about cloud AI models?
Optional. If you want frontier models or image generation, you add your own keys; usage is clearly labeled. The app ships with no keys inside.
What do I need to run it?
A Mac on macOS 14 or later with Apple Silicon (M-series). For free local AI, install Ollama — it’s free.
